Soft Animals is a creative social experiment which uses performance art and the Work That Reconnects to explore self-inquiry and community care.
We are a single node in a co-operative network of beings looking for new ways to co-exist. Our working style is collaborative and devised, built from scratch with each ensemble, and rooted in the stories and realities of those who gather.

**The Reliable Narrator
The Reliable Narrator** is a 9-week devised creative journey for adults reclaiming the stories of their childhood. Co-facilitated by Gopika Jairam, Harsha Maheshwari, and Shayontoni Ghosh, participants explore writing, movement, and voice to transform memory into performance. The process culminates in an original ensemble piece, collaboratively built from the lived experiences of the group. More than a workshop, The Reliable Narrator is a space to experiment with how personal history can be re-imagined and shared on stage.

Ghair Mukhataman Darmiyaan
Ghair Mukhataman Darmiyaan (The Endless Middle) is an original full-length play in Hindi, soundtracked by Gopika Jairam and written & directed by Shayontoni Ghosh.
The play follows the lives and experiences of two families who inhabit the same space — a nondescript apartment in urban Hyderabad — at different points of time. It is an expression of shared grief, found community and everlasting love. The play was first performed in Hyderabad in July 2025.
